Video analytics for Marketing

Video analytics for marketing allow the monitoring of the behavior of the visitors / customers of the point of sale. The classic package of support algorithms for retail [Point of sale] and contains:

  • People counting [People Counting] is used to automatically calculate the number of people crossing the entrance gates of a store with contextual estimation of age and gender.
  • The heat maps [Heat Maps] generated based on the movement of visitors / customers measure the frequency of passages in front of a rack / shelf with goods for sale or the average dwell time in front of it.
  • Queue detection [Queue Detection] is used for the intelligent management of cashier queues with the ability to warn of the need to open a new desk in the face of overcrowding.

As already mentioned above, the algorithms can react promptly, record the event and send a notification in real time to whoever we want. However, they can also silently collect data (metadata) for statistical, marketing or preventive security purposes.
